Look at this gorgeous cake that Steve, Matthew & Daniel made for me. Aren't I the luckiest wife and mummy in the world? Because there's not just icing on this cake. Nope. There's lots and lots of love. And that's what makes it special. I baked the cake in a tin I haven't used before - a domed heart. Despite greasing it really well, the top layer of cake stuck to the tin!!! So it was rather an uneven cake for them to decorate. But I think they did a wonderful job!!And look at this piping around the bottom (that Daniel insisted it had ot have!) I made up the royal icing, made up the piping bag, put the nozzle in and then showed Steve just ONCE how to do it. I think he did an amazing job for his first time. Maybe with some practice, I could have an assistant???
